Your adventure begins with your arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda. Here, you will be met by our friendly tour guide who will transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the chance to explore Entebbe town, visit the Botanical Gardens, or relax at the hotel.
After breakfast, we embark on a scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park, famous for its high concentration of primates. The journey takes you through beautiful countryside landscapes, tea plantations, and local villages. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
The highlight of today is chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. After a briefing by the park rangers, you will set off into the forest to track these incredible primates. Kibale is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees, as well as other primate species. After the tracking experience, return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon of relaxation or optional nature walks.
After breakfast, we drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife. En route, you will have the opportunity to stop at the Equator for photos and experiments. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and prepare for an evening game drive, where you may spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species.
Start your day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, known for its excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and some rest. In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This boat ride offers excellent views of hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.
Today, we journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The drive takes you through scenic landscapes, including the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Upon arrival in Bwindi, check into your lodge and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. After an early breakfast and a briefing from the park rangers, you will hike through the dense forest to find a gorilla family. The trek can be challenging, but the reward of seeing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat is well worth the effort. After spending an hour with the gorillas, return to the lodge for relaxation and reflection on the day’s adventure.
After breakfast, we cross the border into Rwanda and head to Volcanoes National Park, another renowned gorilla sanctuary. The drive offers breathtaking views of the Virunga Mountains and the Rwandan countryside. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, preparing for another gorilla trekking experience.
On your final day, you will embark on another gorilla trekking adventure in Volcanoes National Park. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and then drive back to Kigali for your departure flight. Depending on your flight time, you may have the chance to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial or explore the city.
