After a briefing about the trip, you will embark on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. En route, you will pass through picturesque countryside landscapes, rolling hills, and traditional villages. A stopover at the Equator will allow for some memorable photos and experiments illustrating the equatorial line’s uniqueness.
Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check into your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the late afternoon, embark on a game drive in the park’s Kasenyi Plains, where you can spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, antelopes, and warthogs. The day ends with a delicious dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Accommodation:
Start your day with an early morning game drive in the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. You will also have the chance to see hyenas, leopards, and various antelope species as the sun rises over the savannah.
After breakfast, return to the lodge for relaxation before heading for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This is the highlight of your safari – gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on trekking guidelines. You will then be assigned a gorilla family and begin your trek through the dense forest, led by an experienced guide.
The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you find them, you will have one magical hour to observe, photograph, and appreciate these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
After the trek, receive a trekking certificate and then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a beautiful lake dotted with 29 islands. Check into your lodge, relax, and enjoy the stunning views.

On the final day, enjoy a relaxed breakfast overlooking the tranquil Lake Bunyonyi. You can take part in optional activities such as canoeing, swimming (safe from bilharzia and crocodiles), hiking around the islands, or interacting with the local communities.
