Witness the Big Five, track endangered mountain gorillas, cruise along the Kazinga Channel, and immerse yourself in Uganda’s natural beauty and vibrant local communities.
Your safari begins with a warm welcome at Entebbe International Airport by your guide. After a briefing about the trip, you will embark on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. En route, you will pass through picturesque countryside landscapes, rolling hills, and traditional villages. A stopover at the Equator will allow for some memorable photos and experiments illustrating the equatorial line’s uniqueness.
Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check into your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the late afternoon, embark on a game drive in the park’s Kasenyi Plains, where you can spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, antelopes, and warthogs. The day ends with a delicious dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Accommodation:
Start your day with an early morning game drive in the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. You will also have the chance to see hyenas, leopards, and various antelope species as the sun rises over the savannah.
After breakfast, return to the lodge for relaxation before heading for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This waterway, connecting Lake Edward and Lake George, is home to one of the highest concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in Africa. You will also have the opportunity to spot numerous bird species, including African fish eagles, kingfishers, and pelicans.
After the cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Accommodation:
After an early breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Along the way, you will pass through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you can have another chance to see the famous tree-climbing lions.
